The month of talking. Lily must have fifty words in her vocabulary and there are new ones added daily. She even has a couple sentences like "it's a bug" which is a favorite while watching fruit flies. A couple other favorites are fluff, Momma, Milk, More, Come on (when leading you by the hand somewhere), outside, bus, truck and of course, show,show,show... when she wants to watch her new show that Wendy introduced her to and she loves. Baby Einstein videos with farm animals and she goes crazy for them.
Lily also started her first days of school this month with Ivy. She is loving it and becoming very comfortable.

August 2010

Wendy and lily came down to visit Dad in Florida. Mom got to do some much needed shopping at a decent mall and hang out with Dulcie and Solomon for a couple days while Dad was at work. Lily had here first Ice Cream cone...I think it was mint chocolate chip. She did great on the trip sleeping well in her pack and play for the first time since getting her real bed. She has even more words and is sighing lots and is learning how to jump.

July 2010

Dad is off to work on the Mi Sueno down in Florida. Lily has quite a few words these days and is walking fast as ever.

June 2010

Busy this month with the Farmer wedding, Mom, Brad and the kids all coming down and heading to NY for some work the end of the month to give Georgina a vacation. Wendy and Lily along with Jessie were in a car accident on the bypass totaling the 4 runner. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Lily was just looking around with her mouth wide open. They were on their way to the beach rehearsal. Got to spend so time with the Williams' and Yvonne at the beach.
Lily is saying a few words and really signing a lot too.
Lily also started going to Jamie Parker's with her best friend Eleni.

March 2010

So big changes this month. The boat I was working on went up for sale and was "mothballed" letting most of the crew go with a nice severance.
Taking time off to hang out with the family and get some things done around the house.

Snow Flakes

I took Lily out in her first snow today, she was quite facinated by it. She has always enjoyed being outside, there is always a smile on her face as soon as we step out the door. Today she saw something new and fun though there wasn't enough snow to make a snowman.

Tammy and I are having a lot of fun as Lily learns to walk, its very cute and entertaining.

Lily's Walking!!!!!

After trying for some time and only taking a couple of cautious steps here and there Lily finally found her footing today and started really walking around to get from one spot to another with lots of confidence and pride!
Maybe it was the visit from her friend Sadie who traveled out with Jeanine while Willy was in Dallas getting snowed on that gave her the boost she needed.
It all happened this afternoon with Mommy and lasted into the evening showing off for Dad on the Skype.
What a real milestone! She is growing up so fast right now and showing us who she is and want's to be.

Lilys first birthday Feb 6th 2010

At home with Lily on her first birthday. Very special day though Rob was not with us. We enjoyed an early birthday celebration in Florida with Rob, we had cake which Lily helped to make. Back at home it was a quiet day though we had many phone calls from family and friends to wish Lily well and we had a nice skype with dad to mark the day.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!

The girls flew into Norfolk late Christmas eve without too much trouble and we all headed straight home to get them into their own beds for the first time in 5 weeks. It was great to see both of them and so sweet to see Wendy walking Lily down the terminal on her own little feet!

Waking up Christmas morning could not have been better with all of us there together and watching Lilzers play with her new walking toy and blocks. As per Christmas tradition the past couple of years Chip and Tammy came over for some champagne and frittatas and good times.

Unfortunately our trip to Richmond for the family Christmas did not happen for us because the gilrs both ran into some pretty good jet-lag. We did head up the following day and had a great time with mom and got to see Brad briefly at work.

Our last couple days at home were really nice and very chill, just hanging out and enjoying each others company. The boat come back into town on the 30th so I had to head back to work missing Blaise and John's bday party and missing all the fun activities and bday party for Tammy and their week in the cottage. Wendy and Lily did make it over a couple of times and New Years Eve.

Wendy had her first half day off in just about a year the other day, taking her to Nick and Dawn's place for the afternoon. They very generously offered to have Lily over and play with Eleni and did very well even taking a nap over there. It must have been heaven for Wendy.

In just a couple of weeks the girls are heading down here to Florida for a nice stay hopefully extending all the way to Lily's 1st birthday.
